1 How Often Shall I Forgive?
Matthew 18:21, “Then Peter came to Him and said, ‘Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jews’ teaching: Up to three times. Peter’s suggestion: Up to seven times. Jesus’ answer: Up to seventy times seven.

2 How Often Shall I Forgive?
The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant King wants to settle accounts One man owed ten thousand talents. Range of $19 to $291 million. King forgave the debt. Man who had been forgiven went out and found a servant who owed him one hundred denarii. Probably about $15.

3 How Often Shall I Forgive?
Forgiveness wipes the slate clean. There is no limit on how often we should forgive. No one is unworthy of forgiveness. Forgiveness is an urgent matter for both parties. God will not forgive us if we don’t forgive others.

4 How Often Shall I Forgive?
We must be willing to wipe the slate clean when we forgive. We should forgive our brethren as often as they need it. No sin is unworthy of our forgiveness. If we have sinned or been sinned against, we are responsible to go to our brother. If we don’t forgive, God will not forgive us.

5 How Often Shall I Forgive?
Two Questions Has anyone sinned against you? Then you have a responsibility to go to them and try to rectify the situation. Have you sinned against anyone or does anyone think you have sinned against them?
