That through Him you became faithers in GOD v. 21
Who raised Him from the dead
Gave Him glory Phil. 2:9-11
So that your faith (present salvation) and hope (future glorification) are in GOD

2. Peter 1:22-2:10 The Power of God’s Word
Since your obedience to truth at salvation v John 15:1-17
Purified souls produce love for all the brethren Rom. 12:9
Not just love but sincere, fervent love from the heart
How? By the power of the living and abiding word
Therefore, put away the behaviors that destroy others v. 2:1
Malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy and slander
What then should we do? v. 2-3
Desire the pure milk of God’s word Jer. 15:16
For growth, in your salvation Matt. 4:4
That is if you have tasted His salvation
Come parousia to the living stone v. 4 Dan. 2:34-35, 45
Rejected of man
Choice and precious to God the Father

3. You also, (recognize) are living stones too v. 5
Being built up as a spiritual house
For a holy priesthoods
To offer spiritual sacrifices Romans 12:1-2
Instruments of righteousness Romans 6:13
Praise and worship Hebrews 13:15
Doing good and sharing Philippians 4:10-19
Those coming to Christ Romans 15:15-16
Sacrificial love for one another Eph. 5:1-2
Prayer Rev. 8:3-4
Made acceptable to God through Jesus Christ

4. Recognize Christ Jesus v. 6-8 Is. 8:14, 28:16; Ps. 118:22
To those that believe: ‘The Chief Cornerstone’
Upon which this spiritual house is held together
To those that don’t believe: ‘The Rock of Offense’
Specifically, by disobedience to the word
Bring praise and glory to God v. 9-10
Because you are:
A Chosen race (election)
A Royal priesthood (dominion with Christ)
A Holy nation (separated to Christ)
A People possession of God (acquired by price)
Called out of darkness into HIS marvelous light
A people that fits the description in the prophet Hosea Hosea 2:21-23
