In Oct 2014, there are total of 35 commercial Banks in Laos, including 4 state-owned commercial banks, 1 Specific-Purposed Bank, 3 joint venture banks, 7 private banks and 20 Subsidiaries and Branches of foreign banks State-owned commercial banks dominate and take the largest share of the banking industry.

With its superior profile, we believe 3 year CAGR loan growth of 30% (with margin of 2.4%) and non interest income growth of 25% is sustainable over the next three years. Note that interest income represents 40% of total revenue while Non-Net interest income is 60%.

6 BCEL “Quick Modern Reliable”
1975: Banque Pour Le Commerce Exierieur Lao (BCEL) established, same time as the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) was declared. : BCEL operated as a Division of the State Bank (Central Bank) of the Lao PDR, responsible for international banking activities and management of the grants and loans from foreign countries and international organizations for the Government of Lao PDR. November 1989: BCEL was converted into a full commercial bank – state commercial bank. January 2011: BCEL became the first bank in Laos to list in the Lao Securities Exchange.

For dividend policy , we will pay twice a year, the policy is to not less than 50% of the net profit.
