Puerto Baquerzio Moreno is the capital of the Galápagos Province in Ecuador, It is located along the south-western coast of San Cristobal, the most eastern island of the Galápagos archipelago (a group of islands). The cities population is 6,672; mostly fishermen and tourists. The city takes name from the president Alfredo Baquerizo Moreno ( ), the first president to visit Galápagos during his presidency.
