1 Go Math! Guidance Documents (K-5)
created by Student Achievement Partners and districts currently using the materials guidance for how to use Go Math! in a way that is more aligned to the Shifts and Standards includes program- and grade-level specific guidance can be used as PD for teachers (every suggested change includes a rationale based on the Standards) can help to guide both long-term and daily planning -Student Achievement Partners worked collaboratively with a sampling of districts across the country to create guidance documents for K-5 GO Math! -Documents provide recommendations for how to implement the book in ways that are more aligned to the shifts -The documents include both year long program guidance as well as grade-specific guidance for every chapter in grades K-5 -These can be used as PD for teachers to explore what changes were made in order to align to the shifts and how these changes address the alignment issues in the program -These can be used by districts and teachers for long term and/or daily planning

2 Program Guidance -The program-level guidance are called ‘rules of thumb’ -These are suggestions for how to address certain components of the GO Math! program throughout the year -Each rule of thumb includes a rationale based in the standards to justify the recommendation

3 Chapter Guidance -Chapter-level guidance includes recommendations for each chapter of the book -Here you can see some lessons were left completely intact, others were recommended for deletion, and some lessons were added -Again, all of these recommendations are grounded in the standards according to the rationale on the right hand column.
