2 Outline for Grace Centered Leadership
Personal Transformation Corporate Regular Experience of God’s Grace on a Personal Basis Results in Grace Centered Leadership of the Church Results in Community Transformation through the Gospel

3 Two Aspects of Grace Salvation and definitive sanctification is from G.R.A.C.E.— God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense

4 The most significant aspect of our Salvation is that Christ has given His heart to us.
Rom 8:10 “. . . Christ is in you.” 2 Cor 13:5 “. . . Jesus Christ is in you.” Col 1:27 “. . . the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

5 The Westminster Confession
“All saints, that are united to Jesus Christ their Head, by His Spirit, and by faith, have fellowship with Him in His grace, sufferings, death, resurrection, and glory.” Chapter 26, 1 “Of the Communion of Saints” Centerpiece of the Christian Life—Union with Christ 222 times in Paul’s 13 letters the prepositions—in Christ, with Christ, by Christ, through Christ are used plus another 40 times those prepositions are used but do not refer to union with Christ.

6 regularly enlightening “the eyes of our heart” (Eph. 1:18)
2. Progressive Sanctification is through the grace (i.e., illuminating power) of the Holy Spirit regularly enlightening “the eyes of our heart” (Eph. 1:18) to increasingly see Jesus and all He has accomplished for us. so that by faith we are enabled to lay hold of the covenant promises that are already ours in union with Christ.

7 The Indicatives Empower the Imperatives
A Key Principle for Grace Centered Leadership: The Indicatives Empower the Imperatives Imperatives empower Indicatives Indicatives describe who God is in Christ and all He has accomplished for us as ones in union with Christ. The imperatives answer the question: How then shall we live in light of these great Indicatives. Power for the Christian Life

8 Imperatives: The Fruit of Grace
Titus 2:11-12 “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to: renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.” The more fully our hearts are impacted through the illumination of the Spirit regarding Who God is in Christ and who He has made us to be as sons and daughters of His, the more we find ourselves bearing the fruit of Titus 2.
