MAIN IDEA Every person, including you, is a sinner. The punishment for sin is death and separation from a relationship with God because God must punish sin. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us. When you trust that His death took the punishment for your sin, you are forgiven. You are saved from punishment and have a relationship with God forever. That’s why Jesus Christ is called the Savior. ESV
