9 Only 1 out of 5 congregants reflect on Scripture every day

11 It was Moses’ practice to take the Tent
of Meeting and set it up some distance from the camp. Everyone who wanted to make a request of the Lord would go to the Tent of Meeting outside the camp. Whenever Moses went out to the Tent of Meeting, all the people would get up and stand in the entrances of their own tents. They would all watch Moses until he disappeared inside. As he went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would... (cont’d) Exodus 33:7-11 (NLT)

12 a friend. Afterward Moses would return
...come down and hover at its entrance while the Lord spoke with Moses. When the people saw the cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, they would stand and bow down in front of their own tents. Inside the Tent of Meeting, the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Afterward Moses would return to the camp, but the young man who assisted him, Joshua son of Nun, would remain behind in the Tent of Meeting. Exodus 33:7-11 (NLT)

14 God must become a daily practice
1. Face time with God must become a daily practice

16 It was Moses’ practice to take the Tent of Meeting and set it up
some distance from the camp. Exodus 33:7 (NLT)

18 2. Set up your “tent of meeting” some distance from camp

22 When you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you,
and pray to your Father in private. Matthew 6:6 (NLT)

23

24 Jesus often withdrew to lonely
places and prayed. Luke 5:16 (NIV)

26 3. Approach God with the right attitude

...the Lord spoke with Moses. When the people saw the cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, they would stand and bow down in front of their own tents. Inside the Tent of Meeting, the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Exodus 33:8-11 (NLT)

30

31 Our Father in heaven, hallowed
be your name! Matthew 6:9 (NIV)

32

33 The more face time you have with God,
the more it’s going to show in your life.

34

35 Exodus 34:34-35 (NLT) Whenever he went into the Tent of
Meeting to speak with the Lord, Moses would remove the veil until he came out again. Then he would give the people whatever instructions the Lord had given him, and the people of Israel would see the radiant glow of his face. So he would put the veil over his face until he returned to speak with the Lord. Exodus 34:34-35 (NLT)

36

37 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NLT) Whenever someone turns to the Lord,
the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NLT)

38

39 If face time feels like a waste of time because you’re just not understanding what you’re supposed to get out of it, then here’s what the Bible says you need to do: Turn your life over to Jesus.

40

41 The people’s minds were hardened, and
to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand. But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 2 Corinthians 3:14-16 (NLT)
