Advisors
Be available and respectful to students
Be efficient and accurate when discussing degree requirements
Understanding of core curriculum, institutional requirements, and degree requirements
Assist students in developing decision-making skills and encourage them to accept responsibility for their choices

Encourage and support students as they develop realistic goals and attainable educational plans.

Schedule appointments with his/her advisor and be on time

Update and review your Plan of Study prior to each advising appointment
Review core and major course requirements
Make a list of questions you have about courses, programs of study, and your educational plans
Be prepared to discuss course options, address academic problems/concerns, and make decisions about your career/academic paths

Campus Availability
Associate’s of Science in Computer Science only available on the Gainesville Campus
Can only take 1000 – 2000 level courses at the Associate’s level
Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science only available on the Dahlonega Campus
Can take 1000 – 4000 level courses at the Bachelor’s level
Internal Transfer
Computer Science, A.S. students on Gainesville must internally transfer to Dahlonega to complete B.S. Computer Science.
Computer Science courses require minimum grade of a C or higher
