11 Common `hiccups` things to look out for.
The `iceberg` – doing the minimum (assessed pieces of work are just the `tip` of the iceberg. It’s the other activities that enable the student to achieve potential. Not working at home. 2 hours most evenings recommended. Not having separate files for each subject and preferably each teacher. Not keeping up with current affairs Not doing wider reading Prioritising subjects Taking a job with a supermarket chain Poor attendance and/or lateness

15 Bursary Pupils, due to financial hardship, who feel that they qualify for a bursary, need to collect an application form from Mrs Fish and submit their completed form directly to the school as soon as possible.

Finally Hit the ground running! Good study habits formed now will help not just with 6th form and University, but for the rest of their lives. Communication is important. Please keep us informed of any relevant situation which might affect academic progress.
