Enhanced training plan for DR staff that integrates student success initiative with the College Experience and intervention strategies throughout the student’s enrollment. Improve student success- Effective training and communication plans with staff will improve the deliver and effectives of support services designed to help students to remain in school and graduate. Increased ability to meet growing student demand for live captioning/interpreter services and maintain compliance and assisting with instructional strategies in the classroom. 7 Enhanced Teaching and Learning
Reformed Gateway Course teaching and learning to engage students through on-line and in person active learning strategies (academic/ non-academic); Infused Professional Development to support faculty integration of enhanced active learning strategies and interactive teaching techniques; A Comprehensive Virtual Learning Commons to provide a one-stop digital environment for active learning toolkits to support service and faculty/student interaction.

8 Academic Learning Toolkits
Compilation of concise lessons, interactive activities, formative and summative assessments and resources that provide student with information to identify, remediate, and master competencies in order to fill knowledge gaps. ALT content is created by SPC faculty and tutors for SPC students; therefore, all content is owned by SPC and can be modified and revised at any time to meet student needs. Competency-based modules

12 Why is this important to Post-Secondary Institution?
Access to Resources Students enroll in Smart Start and the College Experience class with reasonable accommodations afforded upon self-report and requesting accommodations (services are not transferred from high school) Explain essential functions/technical standards of programs from the start *Access does not ensure success, accommodations are only meant to level the playing field. The student may not abdicate their role as a college student to parent or any other entity (therapist, friend, or other student). Support Network for Students Give all students appropriate options and resources at the start of their SPC experience Collective Impact for All Stakeholders Faculty and staff training plan on all campuses and available through MyCourses Resource Guides in MyCourses, Just-in Time Training (ADA) Outreach and communications with local high school students and Pinellas County Leadership
