1 How long has it been since you have given serious thought to:
The air you breath? Your eyesight or the ability to walk? Gravity? The depth of your family’s love for you? Your many blessings?

2 Water? Total water Fresh water If the Earth was the size of a basketball, all of its water would fit into a ping pong ball. Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (2) The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Genesis 1:6-10 Then God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." (7) Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. (8) And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day. (9) Then God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so. (10) And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

3 Water Approximately 60% to 65% of the human adult body is water
Average adult can survive about a week without water Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Exodus 17:1-3 Then all the congregation of the children of Israel set out on their journey from the Wilderness of Sin, according to the commandment of the LORD, and camped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink. (2) Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, "Give us water, that we may drink." So Moses said to them, "Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the LORD?" (3) And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, "Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?"

4 Water in the Old Testament
Garden of Eden – Gen. 2:10-14 Noah and the flood – Gen. 7:23 Towns built around a well – Gen. 21:30-31 Drought – Gen. 41:40 The Red Sea – Exodus 14:30 The Jordan River – Joshua 3:13 Genesis 2:10 Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. Genesis 7:23 So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive. Genesis 21: And he said, "You will take these seven ewe lambs from my hand, that they may be my witness that I have dug this well." (31) Therefore he called that place Beersheba, because the two of them swore an oath there. Genesis 41:40 You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you." Exodus 14:30 So the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Joshua 3:13 And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, the waters that come down from upstream, and they shall stand as a heap."

5 Water in the New Testament
Christ’s power over nature – Matt. 14:26 & Luke 8:25 Living water – John 4:14 Pure water – Heb. 10:22 Water of life – Rev. 22:17 Matthew 14:26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out for fear. Luke 8:25 But He said to them, "Where is your faith?" And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, "Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!" John 4:14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." Hebrews 10:22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

6 Water and Christ His baptism – Matt. 3:15-17
A witness to His Nature and work – 1 John 5:8 Condition for spiritual birth – John 3:5 Condition for salvation – Mark 16:16 Cleansing – Eph. 5:26 Matthew 3: But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him. (16) When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. (17) And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." 1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. John 3:5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. Ephesians 5:26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
