1 Joy From Concentrated Prayer
Christian Joy Seekers Joy From Concentrated Prayer

2 Prayer And Joy What does the one have to do with the other?
John 16:24 –Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full. Jesus promises full joy for the asking!

3 Joy For The Asking (Petition)
John 14:13 –Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 15:7 --If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Glorifying God brings us great joy. Asking from Jesus brings glory to God. What are the parameters?

4 Important Parameters For Petition
…in My name… -- upon the authority and to properly represent Jesus. …that God may be glorified…. For the purpose of exalting our Father. …If you abide in Me…. Filled with the strength and purpose of our Lord. Joy comes from being what God created us to be.

6 Comprehending Jesus’ Generosity
John 4: Therefore the Samaritan woman said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

7 The Joy Of Intimate Relationship
The Samaritan woman’s level of comprehension: Why would you ask me for a drink? Jesus’ level of comprehension: If you knew who was asking…you would ask in return. A single drink vs. a river of living water. How the ant must see the elephant!

8 The Pure Joy Of Jesus’ Presence
John 16: Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy. Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world. Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

9 What Is Our Joy? 1 John 1:1,4 --What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life…. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete. Joy is in dwelling/sharing in the GOOD NEWS!

10 The Breech Between Two Worlds
John 17:13-14 – “But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Our joy is with Christ, and Christ is with God. We access God through Christ via prayer.

11 Prayer, Joy, Success, Joy…
By the promises of Jesus… As we pray in His name He does for us. As He does for us, we bring glory to the name of God. As we bring glory to God, He is well pleased with us and gives us joy. As we are filled with joy we desire to share that joy with others. As others come to the Lord they join us in our joy.

12 Planning To Pray Do you have a prayer plan? How about a prayer place?
How about specific prayer time? Failure to plan is usually planning to fail.
