1. Town of Essex: ~Trails, Walkways, & Bikeways Committee
CWATS would benefit the Town of Essex:
Increase pedestrian safety and public awareness through CWATS outreach strategies & facilities
Give local urban dwellers an opportunity to experience and appreciate the rural environment (e.g., connects Harrow to Colchester)
Strengthen rural businesses (e.g., wineries, home-based crafts, farm-sales outlets)
Enhance our tourism objectives
Increase inter-municipal active commuting to adjacent municipalities
GORD will introduce and welcome everyone. He will do a recap of what has happened thus far and will outline the objectives of the day by reviewing the Agenda.

CWATS would benefit our objectives by:
Increasing facilities and strategies that allow our residents to actively commute to our new Colchester Harbour facilities
Supporting our Strategic plan for the Colchester Harbour
Recently held a Colchester Harbour kick-off event and attracted 175 people
Tall Ships
Explore the Shore Festival
Announcement of 100 Bicycle for complimentary active use from Colchester Harbour
A cooperative of SOERC (Shores of Essex Resource Corporation and the Town of Essex)
