3 DEFINITION OF NARRATIVE
Narrative text is a text which contains about story and its plot consist of climax of the story (complication) then followed by the resolution.

5 Generic Structure Orietation : its about the opening paragraph where the characters of the story are introduced. Complication : where the problems in the story developed. Resolution : where the problems in the story solved , sucs as a happy anding or bad ending. Coda : this is a closing remark to the story and its optional. Its consist of a moral lesson, advice or teaching from the writter.

Legend : English story contains a collection of stories / folklore legendary english in indonesian archipelago Fairy story : English fairy tale contains a set of options well-known fairy tales in the world or in indonesia Fable : zoo story / fable english contains a collection of stories about animals or also called “fable” most popular. Myth : a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event , with or without a determinable basis of fact or natural explanation, especially one that is concerned with deities or demigods and explains some practice , rite, or phenomenon of nature

7 explanation Narrative text is a text that tells a story. The purpose of this text is to amuse, entertain and to deal with actual or various experience in different ways. Narrative always deal with some problems which lead to the climax and then turn into a solution to the problem.

The Story of Lake Toba Adverb of time past tense past tense Once upon a time,There was a man who was living in north sumatra. He lived in a past tense orientation simple hut in a farming field. 12 Conclusion Narrative text types tell a story using spoken or writtenlanguage. Narratives are usually told by a story teller. This person gives his/her point of view to the audience and determines the order in which the events of story will be told.
