Gift of Faith – Have a vision for, and believe in what is impossible based on your confidence in Jesus. (Relationship) 1 Corinthian 12.9 People with this gift tend to: Believe in the impossible, often boasting about the power of God and what they have seen him do, motivated by new ministries, opposed to anyone who expresses that something cannot be done or accomplished, effective prayer ministry Story-tellers

5 Faith Confidence in God: Acts 3:1-10
Jesus: Luke Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. Sin patterns doubt, distracted, afraid of details, procrastinate

6 Leadership Leadership (Romans 12.3 – 8) – You like being the point person; you like making decisions and taking risks; you like responsibility In community: you have followers, other people have confidence in you, people ask you what you think about stuff, you are often at the center of the crisis in the community. Sin patterns: you lack humility, you are impatient, struggle to pray, believe that everything is up to you. Jesus: Leader of the greatest movement ever . . .

Cross-cultures, Sub-cultures, New movements, mentors, always going, love the gospel Jesus is the Great Apostle (Hebrews 3.1) Sin patterns: circumvent leadership, Think you are right all the time, Tempted to leave if you disagree, impatient with sin

8 Evangelist Evangelist (Ephesians 4) (equip) – Gospel centered people. Everything is about Jesus. Evangelist’s hobby is talking about Jesus, they can get away with saying things that normal people can’t. People become Christians around them when they aren’t trying to convert. Jesus – Luke 9.10 – concerned about the lost over the flock. Sin patterns: Weird socially, awkward, one dimensional, not grounded in community

9 Pastor/shepherd Pastor/shepherd (Ephesians 4) (equip) – who is good at caring for what is broken, bringing opposing factions together, spiritual surgery People with the pastoring gift love people, like to help people mature in their faith . . . Jesus John 10:11-14 – The good shepherd Sin patterns: you have to save everyone, its all your fault, resist peers
