Old Testament Jehovah יְהוָה Jehovah is the Latinized version of Yahweh It is the most personal and intimate name for God Often written in English Bibles as LORD with all capital letters Exodus 3:14 Adonai אֲדֹנָי Means Lord or Master in Hebrew Often used by Jews to read in place of saying YHWH Used in Deuteronomy 10:17 El Elyon אֵל עֶלְיוֹן Means “God most high” in Hebrew Found in Isaiah 14:13-14 El/Elohim  אֱלֹהִים/ אֵל El is the singular Hebrew word for god Elohim is the plural word for gods It’s a generic word for a god or deity Genesis 1:1 El Shaddai אֵל שַׁדַּי Means God Almighty or God the sufficient one in Hebrew Used in Genesis 17:1

New Testament Kurios κύριος Means Lord, Master, or Husband in Greek The Hebrew equivalent is Adonai John 20:28 Theos θεός  The generic word for god in Greek. The Hebrew equivalent is El/Elohim Pater πατήρ Means father in Greek Jesus and the Father had a unique Father/Son relationship We can relate to God as Father as well (John 1:12) Luke 11:2 Emmanuel Ἐμμανουήλ from Hb. עִמָּ֫נוּאֵ֫ל Means “God with us” Used in Isaiah 7:14, 8:8-10, and Matthew 1:23
