Do any of you in this assembly know someone that doesn’t allow someone else to do a certain thing? The purpose of this presentation is to recognise that because people are different does not mean they should be treated differently.

3 Feelings For example, sometimes we hear children mimicking others.
We also hear children taking the mickey out of others. Think about how this makes the person feel; how would you feel about it? It is especially difficult when the person has no control over it. Feelings

4 Callum B’s personal view
I have a stutter and a mannerism called echolalia. This means that I say things under my breath after saying it out loud. It is something that I can not always control. Sometimes I don’t know I am doing it. Some children have noticed and have ignored it. Some of my friends have helped by giving me a bit more time to speak. Other children may have different mannerisms and need different help. Callum B’s personal view

5 Bullying When people take the mickey regularly or do not stop when asked, this could be bullying. As a school we do not want anyone to feel that they are being bullied. If someone is bullying you or someone you know and you’re getting worried about it , tell an adult (teacher, parent or guardian).

6 Telling someone If you’re scared of something don’t be because it is better to tell than to sit around and make it worse. Someone can always help if you tell them. If you don’t tell anyone it may just get worse.

7 THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING THIS ASSEMBLY I HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT!
