12 Registration process Athlete must register in person.
Athlete must present a photo identification document (passport, driving licence, national id card, triathlon licence with photo)/ registration confirmation No payment – no race pack: payment in cash at the accreditation desk is possible before the registration process. Payment can be made by Team Manager or directly by the athlete if approved by the Team Manager

24 Transfer of Athletes Equipment #1
During registration, you will receive two transition bags. In the ORANGE transition bag that says FINISH you have to put your belongings that you do not need during the race. You can hand your bag in at the Bag Drop Off tent at Transition T1 Elite (Kop van Zuid). After the swim you have to store your swim gear in the BLUE bag that says SWIM. Please place this bag on the position of your bike in Transition T1. After the race you can pick up both transition bags when showing your accreditation wristband in the Bag Pick Up Tent on the Westerkade next to the finish.

26 Allow Equipment - Uniform
Swim Leg and arm covers are allowed Wetsuits up to 5mm thickness Vest warmers are NOT allowed Gloves are NOT permitted Any part of the body maybe covered except the face, hands and feet

27 Allow Equipment - Uniform
Bike & Run Athletes can wear long sleeved shirt under their uniform – it must be worn for the entire event Athletes will not be able to remove the shirt at any time during the event Arm warmers can be worn and can be removed during the event BUT only in Transition. Do not remove during the race and hand to someone else. This will lead to DSQ If you prefer to wear a jacket during the event, it must be clear/transparent or national federation kit.

Review your time slot to ensure smooth check-in Check in the bicycles the day before mandatory Bike check – legal bars, frame, wheels, bike numbers Full bike covers are not allowed Race day check in: Body marking check (to be applied to each arm) Helmet check – snug strap, no cracks, numbers attached Uniform check Wetsuits check Bag storage at the bag drop off Bike technicians are on site. All “marks” will be removed by Technical Officials

34 Swim course – warm up The AG athletes do have the possibility to do a swim warm up behind the start pontoon. Athletes have to be out of the water minimum 30 min before the start of their wave. For the start procedure there are 3 holding pens for the forthcoming waves and then one final one on the pontoon when the timing starts to alert Timing.  So, all athletes have to be in their pens ready for this process.

35 Pre-start procedure Athletes will be called to enter the calling area, according to the appropriate wave start. The calling area will be located next to the start pontoon. You will cross a timing mat that will register you starting in the right wave When you are in the start area, the technical officials will guide you.

36 Start procedure Athletes in position:
The start can be given any time after the Starter announces ”On your mark” Air horn The race starts – Water start Athletes starting in a wave earlier than their allocated one will be disqualified. If athletes start later than their allocated wave, their time will be from their original start time.

42 Bike course – AG Standard
2 sections of 20 km, flat, technical 2 penalty boxes , see location on the map 2 Littering Zones marked (20m before and 80m after) – at penalty box locations The OD is a non drafting race. The distance from front wheel to front wheel is minimum 10 m. The same distance is needed between a bike and a motorbike The distance from a vehicle should be minimum 35 m Athletes penalized for drafting during the OD, have to serve their penalty at the next bike penalty box. Not serving a penalty will be a DSQ Always stay on the right/ pass on the left

43 Bike course – AG Sprint Drafting race 1 section of 20 km
Flat, technical 2 Littering Zones marked (20m before and 80m after)/ same location as the OD race Same penalty boxes as the OD race (only for yellow card infringements) Always stay on the right/ pass on the left

45 Bike course – Bike infringements OD
During the bike segment, technical officials can show you cards in 2 (two) colours: Blue: drafting violations, you have to stop at the next penalty box 2 minutes Yellow: other infringements (blocking, littering etc) When receiving a yellow card, you have to stop at the next penalty box to serve a penalty of 15 seconds

During the bike segment, technical officials can show you a Yellow: other infringements (blocking, littering etc) When receiving a yellow card, you have to stop at the next penalty box to serve a penalty of 10 seconds

47 Bike course OD– (non)drafting #1
Entry into the bicycle drafting zone: An athlete may enter a bike draft zone in the following circumstances: If the athlete enters the draft zone, and progresses through it within 20 seconds in the overtaking manoeuvre; For safety reasons; 100 meters before and after an aid station or transition area; At an acute turn;

48 Bike course OD– overtaking
An athlete is passed when another athlete's front wheel is ahead of theirs; Once overtaken, an athlete must move out of the draft zone of the leading athlete within 5 seconds; Athletes must keep to the side of the course and not create a blocking incident. Blocking is where an athlete who is behind cannot pass due to the leading athlete being poorly placed on the course;
