Proud Moments Harshita Puri, a student of Class XII Science was selected by Honeywell Leadership Challenge Academy (HLCA), a program, specifically designed for children to heighten their interest in the study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as well as to prepare them for the university experience at U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC), in Huntsville. Shooting star Nischal Singh of Class VIII C brought laurels for the school by winning 2 Gold medals and 1 silver medal along with Champion of Champions Trophy in various Shooting competitions. She was joined by Nischay Singh of Class VIII D who won a Silver medal Action is the foundation stone of success. 

6 Proud Moments Students from the Classes V - X ( ) brought laurels to the school by winning Gold Medals (Vidhi Pahwa & Muskan Verma) & Certificates of Merit in CBSE - MAC (Master Adroit Championship) in Mathematics !!! Yash Rahangdale (Class IX) & Bharat Bhushan (Class X) won tablet in each category as the school topper of Byju’s National Aptitude Challenge 2016 (Formerly think & Learn Challenge) and made the school and parents proud for their thinking and learning skills Opportunities don’t happen,you create them.

8 Fun and frolic in the air, let’s spread love and some cheer
Exploring the School To know the lay out of the school, children of class-I, along with their class teachers, were taken on a school tour around the campus on the first day of the new session . They were shown different places like offices of the Principal, Headmistress, Assembly area, Sports ground, Primary area, Music room, Dance room, Library, Audio Visual Room along with the Computer Lab, Reception area and Accounts Office . The visit proved to be very informative for the young ones thus forging a strong bond with the school. Moreover bouncy activity was also organized for the students to make them comfortable in the school. Fun and frolic in the air, let’s spread love and some cheer

9 Orientation Programs A student is more likely to benefit if there is an effective coordination between school & the parents. Kindergarten Primary Secondary Orientation programs were organized for the parents of students to apprise them of the curriculum, methodology and co-scholastic activities etc. They were made to understand the methodology of teaching and briefed about the new changes in the examination pattern by CBSE. School rules and norms were explained to them. The queries of the parents were also adhered. The Principal, Ms Jyoti Sharma in her address made the gathering aware of the changing scenario in education, the culture and working atmosphere of the school and emphasized upon the pivotal role played by  the  parents in the upbringing of children and in helping them to tide over the cares and concerns related to childhood.  Coming together is beginning and staying together is a progress.

Investiture Ceremony for Session was held on 5th May in the school.The occasion was graced by the presence of Mrs. Pushpa Rana (Director) , Mrs. Jyoti Sharma (Principal). The newly selected senate members performed a smart crisp march past and confidently received their badges. The school’s ongoing student council is led by head boy: Adarsh Pandey and head girl: Himani Sehrawat. The graduating head boy Deepak and head girl: Hitaishi handed over the school flag to their successors signifying the handing over of all the responsibilities. The principal of the school Mrs. Jyoti Sharma administered the oath to the new the councilors. Activity Galore First Aid box Making - Students of class V enthusiastically participated in activity and later visited classes 1-4 and donated boxes and explained students how to give first aid in case of emergency and explained regarding the things kept in the boxes. Dress up - Class III enthusiastically participated and enjoyed a lot. Maths Activity - Class III & IV students enjoyed learning to write roman numerals using matchstick... Children must be taught how to think not what to think.

Activity Galore A skit was presented by Class I students on ' SAVE WATER'. The students tried to explain the significance of water and why & how they should use water to save it for future. Activity time ....Students of Classes III & V enjoyed Plantation, Book Mark Making and Slogan Writing activity related to the Earth Day. Children must be taught how to think not what to think.

18 Budding Sports Stars at GWPS
It is always a proud moment for the school when our young sportsmen are exploring and unleashing their sporting spirits. The principal and school management congratulated the parents and the children and wished them all the best for all future endeavors in the field of sports and shine like stars. Champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them- a desire, a dream and a vision. Greenwoodians brought laurels for the school as they lifted the overall trophy in the 2nd Inter School Roller Skating Championship held at Shalom Presidency School, Sector 56, Gurgaon. Position No. of Prize First 6 Second 7 Third 2 Fields are won by those who believe in winning.

Budding Sports Stars at GWPS Harshit Singh of Class VII B made us proud as he displayed his strength and swiftness by winning Bronze medal in the 13th Kotaka Cup National Karate Championship held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. Saksham Tyagi of Class VIII A made us proud by winning the Man of the Match Trophy in the S. P. Sinha U -15 Boys National Cricket Tournament held at Dehradun !!! Impossible is not a word in the dictionary of Greenwoodians Fields are won by those who believe in winning.

20 Mother’s Day in May Celebrated in a Loving Way
To celebrate the special bond between a mother and her child an event, 'Mothers are Amazing' was conducted for mothers of Class Pre Nur. - V students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of mothers who displayed their talent in various games and activities “Oh God! You are intangible! We cannot touch you or see you sitting by our side and so he made the word mother who is the God who you not only can feel but can touch.” A symbol of care and love, That what you are mother, And if any other word can describe you, It’s Perfection;because you are perfect in everything

21 Workshops and Seminars
An interactive workshop was conducted for the students for Classes XI and XII to learn about Higher Education Opportunities in the United States by speakers from the U.S.A ....Mr. Ricardo Castro Salazar, Vice President for International Development , Ms. Jetza Torres, Interim Director , Special Programs and Mr. Yasir Ansari, Director, SIMPLED Lions Club dignitaries honored the school team with guiding and sharing their experiences on Environment and Mother Earth to conserve it for Next Generation !!!!  An informative workshop to maintain personal hygiene habits like brushing the teeth, washing hands etc. was conducted on " World Health day" for the classes I & II in which teachers exhibited the ways to the students A Great Education begins with Great Experience
