2. Colorado Procedure for NEW UPS Account Setup
Primary Options for setting up a new account
Send an request via (preferred option).
Immediately notifies UPS of state user’s desire to open a new UPS shipping account
Requestor will be provided with the New Account Template that will allow them to provide UPS with the information necessary for account setup - for both individual and multiple accounts requests.
Initiates scheduling process for full implementation activities (e.g. shipping solution set-up and training, supply ordering, pick-up and delivery schedule)
Contact your local Account Manager if you are currently working with one.
The Account Manager will gather the information needed and schedule implementation activities. 3

3. Colorado Procedure for NEW UPS Account Setup
Typical Implementation steps provided to new account holders
Establish new account number(s) and confirm attachment to NASPO ValuePoint negotiated discounts
Determine invoice payment method and implement most advantageous payment solution (e.g. UPS Billing Center) and train user(s)
Formalize most advantageous shipment processing solution (e.g. UPS WorldShip or UPS CampusShip platforms) and provide user training
Set-up and train user(s) on Quantum View Manger in-transit shipment visibility solution
Order initial shipping supplies and train user(s) on re-order process
Finalize driver pick-up and delivery schedule
Provide user’s with Customer Support contact information 6
