2. About Enterprise
Enterprise is when a person decides to set up a business.
A person who decides to set up a business is called an Entrepreneur.
There are different types of enterprise.
We will look at them in the PowerPoint.

3. Types of Enterprise Public sector enterprises
These are enterprises set up by the government.
They are probably set up to provide services to people that an Entrepreneur wouldn’t want to set up for profit reasons.
An example of a public centre enterprise would be An Post.

4. Types of enterprise COMMERCIAL enterprises
These are enterprises set up by Entrepreneurs most likely for profit.
An example of a commercial enterprise is Coca-Cola.

6. Enterprise is important because
It can give people jobs and a better standard of living.
By giving people jobs, enterprise can reduce the unemployment rate in countries.
When people see successful entrepreneurs, they can be encouraged to start up their own in enterprise.
The government can use taxes to pay for social services, such as hospitals and schools.
It can help build towns and cities.

8. But being an Entrepreneur also comes with risks….

9. Risks like,
If your enterprise fails, you can lose money, end up in debt and of your debt is too high, your debtors can take your personal property to make up for the debt.
You might not have what it takes around be an Entrepreneur.
Other people will be competing with you.
You may end up extremely stressed and worried.
