Poetry Quire: A Collection of Poetry Written by You

2 All About Me / I am Poem Please fill in the blanks with the required
text per line. This becomes your rough draft. Please staple 5 more sheets of notebook paper to this for the remaining rough drafts.

3 Poetry Poker Shuffle cards and deal 6 per person at your table. One of the cards may be discarded. If you want to trade one of your cards you may, but you must keep 5 cards. Create a poem incorporating your 5 words.

6 In your reader’s notebook, make a list
of as many of your fears as you can think of. We will use this list to create a poem, so the more the merrier.

10 Spine Poem Find a sentence in your book. It needs to have at least six words. Write it along the “spine” of your paper. Use these words to create your poem. Similar to an acrostic.
