4 The Great Drama of Eternity
Act One - Genesis 2:7 "…the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." (NIV) Heaven or hell? Ultimately, where each of us spends eternity will be based on our choices.

5 So Act Two of this Great Drama of Eternity is OUR CHOICE.
John 10:1-9 - (NASB-U) 1 "I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2 The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. 3 The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.

6 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice." 6 Jesus used this figure of speech, but they did not understand what he was telling them. 7 Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.

7 John 14:6 - (NASB-U) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

8 Act Three of this Great Drama of Eternity

9 We Get to Choose. Have you ever given much thought to what things in life are really ours?? Our house? Perhaps for a time. Our money? For now. But we can’t take it with us. Our car? We won’t keep it long. Our kids? They’ll all grow up. Our spouse? We could ask about half of all Americans, "Which one?“ Our soul? Actually, God wants that back one day for judgment.

10 We have the freedom to choose. WE have been given free will.

11 Joshua 24:15: "But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." (NIV)

12 Will we choose good or evil?
Will we choose right or wrong? Will we live godly or sinfully? Will we choose God’s way or will we go our own way?

13 1st Psalm. Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore, the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. (NIV)
