10. LESSONS LEARNED
Multiple stakeholder involvement and buy-in
Physicians and clinical leaders must be part of the measure development process.
Physicians must have the ability to review results in context with others prior to the results being made publicly available.
Data must be easily available and accessible from sources such as electronic medical or administrative (billing) records.
Measures must be easily interpretable for the reader to attach practical meaning in making healthcare designs without significant explanation.
