2. Terms Cattle or Bovine: pertaining to cows Swine: pertaining to pigs
Poultry: pertaining to chickens, turkeys etc
Equestrian: pertaining to horses

3. Terms
Purebred: an animal of recognized breed that is eligible for registration in the official herd book of breeds
Grade: any animal not of a purebred or eligible for registration, that possesses the major characteristics of a breed
Litter: pigs farrowed by a sow at one time
Castrate: to remove sex organs from a male
