8. Gas Tax Revenue
Gas tax is collected and allocated by the state; and used to maintain the City’s right-of-way.
The City’s revenue has decreased by 40% from FY13-14 amount of $3,044,349.
Current year revenue is expected to be $1,824,520.
Future year estimates include new revenue from 2017 AB1 and SB1. FY17-18 is an implementation year, with full impact of new law by FY Expected FY18-19 revenue is $3,730,450.
Historical fluctuations are primarily driven by a look-back calculation for Section 2103 revenue.
