2. The scenario
You are applying for a study abroad program and part of the application process is a phone interview.
You have been (thankfully) provided with a list of questions that the director would like for you to be prepared to answer.
You start with writing out your responses. You follow up by asking a few friends to practice the interview with you.
You put your best foot forward when it comes time for the interview.

3. I can… Say my class schedule. Talk about what I need for school.
Talk about physical and personality qualities of myself, friends, and teachers.
Ask someone what he or she is like.

Writing
Answer the questions in Spanish with answers in Spanish on the preparation worksheet.
You may consult your notes if you need to
Let’s discuss how to “meet expectations” vs. “exceed expectations” in your prepared responses

6. How to prepare Speaking
3 rounds: 1st – with notes, 2nd –limited notes, 3rd – no notes
Now is your time to practice pronunciation and ask questions

7. Expansion Listening Practice
Round 1: Everyone must record the interview responses in English on their preparation worksheet.
Round 2 and 3: Optional for additional practice
This is not the skill that will be assessed in the graded assignment, but interpretation is always an important skill to practice.
