9 Major Activities (2/5) Japanese speakers of the Sino-Japanese Modern Engineering and Technology Symposium call on President Ying-Jeou, Ma (front row, center) Organizing the Sino-Japanese Modern Engineering and Technology Symposium Established in 1980, more than one thousand professionals from government agencies, industries, academic and research institutions are invited from Japan to exchange views and experiences on engineering related issues. The 31th Session was held in Nov 9

10 The 25th Modern Engineering and Technology Seminar
Major Activities (3/5) Organizing the Modern Engineering and Technology Seminar (METS) The 25th Modern Engineering and Technology Seminar Established in 1966, co-organized with CIE/US. The Seminar brings engineers and scientists in the US and the ROC together in Taipei. Playing a vital role in introducing world- class talents to serve in or even start up high tech enterprises in Taiwan in the past. The 26th Session is scheduled to be held in October 2016. 10

11 Major Activities (4/5) Organizing conferences, seminars and workshops on engineering themes. Advancing engineering education and training. Publishing the Journal of CIE and CIE Bimonthly. Coordinating with associated engineering societies in different disciplines. Hosting “Workshop on Feasibility and Implementation of a Centralized Data Bank of APEC Engineers” on Sep , 2015 11

International activities involvement. Organizing delegation to attend the 33rd Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations 2015 (CAFEO 33 ) in Malaysia on Nov , 2015. Organizing delegation to attend World Engineering Conference and Convention 2015 (WECC 2015) and WFEO GA Meeting in Japan from Nov. 29 to Dec. 2, 2015. Attending 2016 IEA Interim Meeting in Malaysia from May 30 to Jun. 3, 2016. Attending FEIAP 24 General Assembly Meeting in Australia on Jul. 7, 2016.
