Horizon Lines: In 2015, Horizon Lines ceased vessel operations to Puerto Rico. Horizon accounted for nearly 30 percent of oceanic transportation between the Jacksonville and San Juan.
Need To Work Closely: With first-come-first-serve vessel loading, it’s important to work strategically together with transportation providers to counteract potential delays at port.
Bright Side: The remaining vessel operators are adding new ships to their fleets to accommodate capacity issues and reduce holdups.
