2 Job Description Infantry is the primary combat arm of the Australian Army. The role of the Infantry is to seek out and close with the enemy, to kill or capture him, to seize and hold ground, repel attack, by day or by night, regardless of season weather or terrain. To carry out this role the Royal Australian Infantry Corps relies heavily on skilled tactics, effective teamwork and cooperation with other corps.

4 What personal requirements do you need for this job?
Physically fit and able to cope with the physical demands – Either by having an everyday exercise or go to a private Gym. Good interpersonal and communication skills – By talking to any friend or family member to improve your communication skills and improving your relationship with them. Australian citizenship – you have to be an Australian citizenship to qualify this job.

5 What are the weekly earnings and hours?
Under military training, you will receive around $366 per fortnight ($9,552 per year) Trainee Allowance. After military training, you’ll receive $1,190 per week ($61,800 annually) Fulltime – it unknown for how many hours for Rifleman, I assume it between hours per week but other sources say, the soldiers train for between 10 and 16 hours per day but they still have breaks.

For Rifleman, it does not require previous experiences to apply for this job, as full training is provided in the Australian military. If you are successful of passing all the requirements for joining the army, you will be train in Kapooka in NSW. For part time (Reserves) 35 days. For full Time 80 days.

Where do you work: Works at the Sandringham Base as a reserve unit Position: Rifleman Qualification: Year 10 Certificate

15 Who do your work for? Lee works for the Australian Defence Force which is privately owned by the Australian Government. In the ADF, they train Lee to make him into a soldier to protect and serve his country.

16 What do you do? Lee checks his rifle, gearing up and begins his usual military training. Shooting at targets in target practice. Going through obstacle course, as like climbing and running. Lee’s responsibilities are to maintain, help, obey and assist.

17 How did you get your job? By going through online.
First you need to create your own ADF account and then pick a job for your liking. The reason why he choose this job is because wanted to earn money and to save up.

18 What did you do before you got your job?
He used to worked at a retail shop in Kmart as a part timer. He completed his year 10 in English and maths. He went to Rowville Secondary College.

19 What do you do when you are not at work?
He like staying at home, playing his online games and hanging our with his mates.

20 What is hard and what’s good about your job?
It hard to keep up in training when it comes to orders. It good physical exercise as it improvise your body’s muscle. The most challenging about his job is following orders and waking up very early in the morning.

The skills you need for this job is to be friendly, discipline and communicate.

Rifles could go off while inspecting. Soldiers could get shot by friendly fire or accidents if the rifle is not in safety mode.

25 In five years time? Properly continue my work as a rifleman in the Defence Force. Going through the ranks.

26 Do you have any thoughts about what you like would to do in the future
He properly use his earn cash to buy a house and set-up a computer to play online and entertain his audience by streaming online and get donations from his viewers.

27 What advice would you give to young people?
Apply for the job, if you need money for your own personal things.

28 Follow up-Interviews 1. In the ADF, do you work in teams?
Yes, we do work in teams, it better to accomplish our objective in teams. 2. Do you have to be supervised while under going training? -Yes, me and my team are under supervised while under training but not after, we just go along in our rooms, talk about our daily lives. 3. Did you got in trouble in the military? -No, I was really focus on my job. 4. Did anybody in the military tried or have bullied you? No, I haven’t been bullied in the military because of the zero tolerance in the ADF policy, so if anyone who breaks the rules will face the consequences. 5. Was it hard in the first day of training? - In the first day, yes. But in a few days later, you’ll get use to it.
