The Alps & The Pyrenees The Alps cut Italy off from the rest of Europe just as the Pyrenees restrict movement from France to Spain and Portugal This results in the isolation of ethnic groups from each other The Alps are located in Northern Italy The Pyrenees are located on the border of Spain & France

3 The Alps are located in northern Italy and also stretch into France, Switzerland & Austria. The alps make it difficult to trade in this area due to severe weather!

The Alps are the most famous mountain range in Europe. This region receives large amounts of Snowfall!

5 The Pyrenees Mountains form a natural border between Spain & France
The Pyrenees Mountains form a natural border between Spain & France. The Pyrenees separate the two countries and also create a cultural barrier between France & the Iberian Peninsula.

10 Country Cut Outs Cut out the shape of each country: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia, Spain, Ukraine, and United Kingdom. (WE ARE GOING TO USE A HAMBURGER FOLDABLE) Example: Folding paper in half Describe the currency (money used) Type of government, Language spoken and the major religions of the area. Use pages in the book, Ukraine is on page 457! Page 311 & 354 have information on the religions.

Draw a colorful illustration of each of the (three) physical features you choose.
