3. The Moon Satellite = object that orbits another object
The Earth is a satellite of the Sun.
The moon is a satellite of the Earth
The moon orbits the Earth once every 27 days.

4. How do we see the Moon? The moon does NOT give out any light.
We can only see the moon because light from the Sun reflects (bounces) off of the moon and hits the Earth.

5. Solar Eclipse
A solar eclipse is when the Sun is blocked out by the moon’s shadow and it becomes dark during the day.

6. Lunar Eclipse
A lunar eclipse is when the Moon is blocked out by the Earth’s shadow and it appears red.
