2. LESSON 654: Samson’s Lust and Fall
MEMORY VERSE:

TEXT: Judges 16:1-31

3. SUMMARY (1) In our previous study, we learnt that;
Samson’s actions was in fulfilment of the goal and purpose of his birth.
Believers should not revenge the wrongs others do to them.
The Spirit of God came upon Samson; yet God did not approve his wayward lifestyle: God departed from him when he sinned.
When the believer is baptised in the Holy Ghost, he is filled to live and serve the Lord.
Prayer opens the gate of heaven. It moves the hand of God and supplies every need.

4. SUMMARY (2) In our this study, we shall see: What lust means:
It is an uncontrolled desire for something, especially sexual immorality that satisfies the flesh and always has a ruinous end.
How Samson became blind and enslaved because of his uncontrolled desires.
Samson never allowed God to conquer him:
Although he was a great conqueror, he was not disciplined and depended on his own strength.
The result of Samson’s unequal yoke and what led to his fall.

Our passions, desires, ambitions and aspirations should be kept under control by the Spirit.
To continue in sin, compromise and bondage will eventually lead to a terrible end.
We must not take God’s mercy for granted.
Believers need to:
Watch and pray, otherwise we become trapped and bound by sin.
Be sober and vigilant, putting on the whole armour of God to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Guard against unequal yoke.
