2. Each class will be making a number plaque to go outside their classroom. Mosaic tiles need to be glued on in the shape of your number in one colour, and then tiles need to be glued around the number in a different colour.

3. Every child in school will be decorating their own pebble in the style of a fish. We will either be using acrylic paint or permanent markers. We are using the book Only One You to inspire us.

4. Some children will be threading different coloured beads on pre-cut wire to make suncatchers. You need to think about colours and patterns in your design.

5. Some children may be making a wire dragonfly
Some children may be making a wire dragonfly. We will put beads on the wings and then bend the wire to make the shape.

6. Some children will be decorating CD’s with permanent markers
Some children will be decorating CD’s with permanent markers. We will use the words from the book Only One You.

7. We may also use patterns or beads to decorate the CD’s.

8. Some children will be going outside to help build our very own bug hotel! It will be built in layers, each layer containing a different environment for wildlife.

9. Some children will be making square clay tiles
Some children will be making square clay tiles. We will use the clay tools to create patterns in the clay. We need to think about what patterns we will make.

10. The tiles will then have a colour glaze and go into the kiln.

11. Melted Bead Suncatcher
Some children will be making melted bead suncatchers. We will need to think about colours that go well together and will also let the light through. The beads will then be put in the oven, where they will melt together.

If we leave a little gap in the pattern then we will have a space to hang the suncatchers up.

13. Some children will be making a picture with their beads.

14. Some children will be decorating tiles with permanent markers
Some children will be decorating tiles with permanent markers. Later, these tiles are sprayed with a special fixative which makes the pen colours leak into each other.

15. Chapelford Village People
Year 5 and 6 will be creating and painting their very own Chapelford Village People. These will be put around the school.
