Curriculum Highlights
Curricula can be found on the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s website at Grading ~ students are graded on classwork, quizzes and tests; homework and class participation are reflected on left side of the report card Grade are calculated by a point system. Class Highlights Class trip to Harrisburg in the spring
Altar serving starts in 4th Encounter the Living Christ~ students will complete 20 hours of service Homework Club Science experiments and demonstrations ~ like today’s mentos and diet coke Social Studies projects and presentations

Communication Any changes in dismissal please or send a note from home in the morning. Check my website for information and homework. Student Expectations Come to school on time, rested and ready to learn
Come to class prepared with their supplies Show they’re engaged by their class participation Copy homework , complete homework and have parent initial planner Make up any missed work due to band or absence, per student handbook Neatness counts .

Class Celebrations The homeroom parent will notify the parents of upcoming celebrations. We will celebrate Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and the end of the year. Prior to our time off at Easter, we will “celebrate” reverently. Treats, store purchased because of allergies, should include one salt, one sweet and a drink (usually water) Birthday treats may be sent in, but please let Mrs. Hmiel know in advance.

Teacher/Student/Parent Partnership
After school tutoring will be held on Tuesdays starting Tuesday, September Pick up is at 2:45. Please send a note no later than the Monday before if your child is staying so I can gather my resources. If your child has any concerns, please don’t hesitate to or send in a note.
