Shop around (rental and purchase prices do vary from store to store!)
All students should have instruments by September 8th . (Hopefully sooner!!)
Day 1 with instruments: Tuesday, September 5th

4. What else is needed? Clarinets: Reeds (size 2 ½), swab and cork grease
Flutes: Cleaning rod (should come with new instrument)
Trumpets: Small rag, slide grease, and valve oil
Trombones: Small rag, slide grease, and slide oil

Small binder (1 inch) to keep band music and notes taken in class.
Tradition of Excellence Book 1 (Red Book)
Pencil (no pens in band )

6. Schedule We will have three concerts this year for 6th grade band.
October 12th
December 11th
May 22nd
Band Calendar and Band Expectations will be sent home Monday.
Uniform for concerts:
Black dress shoes, dress pants or skirts.
Ladies: White blouse or white collared shirt
Gentleman: White collared shirt

7. Storage
Students will have their own storage cubby in band storage room. This room is kept secured in the day time and locked up at night. Cubbies will only be used for the band instrument and notebook.
