1 BAND EXPECTATIONS AND PROCEDURES
Ms. Black Band

2 HALLWAY EXPECTATIONS Leave your classroom 2 minutes before your posted lesson time. Proceed to the lesson room quietly. Assemble your instrument quietly in the hallway. Remember there are other classrooms nearby. Leave any cases, bags, etc. outside.

3 ENTRANCE PROCEDURES Enter the room with your instrument, lesson book & band music, and a pencil. Proceed to your assigned seat quietly. Put your music in order for the class. Be on time for your lesson and wait quietly until I’m ready for you to enter.

4 BAND CLUB REHEARSAL EXPECTATIONS
Be prepared. Every person counts. Pay attention. We will save time if everyone is paying attention to the director. Less repeats = more music getting done. Raise your hand if you have a question or need to leave your seat for any reason.

5 HOMEWORK EXPECTATIONS
Every student is expected to practice 4-5 times each week for at least 15 minutes. This is your homework. Assignments in the lesson book and in your band music are to be marked before you leave the band room.

6 CONCERT PROCEDURES Arrive to school wearing concert dress (white collared shirt & dark blue or black bottoms with dark dress shoes). Arrive with your instrument in good working order and your music in order. Arrive on time (or early).
