17. Client training and examination
Training is required for all users to understand the core principles of BREEAM In-Use and the online system.
Examination is required to access the full BREEAM In-Use question set; Clients are only required to successfully complete the client exam once.
Training and examination are located at via the Scope and Training page.
If a client has appointed an Auditor to act on their behalf, they are not required to undertake the training and examination.

19. What is the role of a BREEAM In-Use Auditor?
If the client (Asset Owner or Tenant) decides to proceed to full certification, their pre-assessment must be audited by a licensed BREEAM In-Use auditor.

Note: We are currently in the process of expanding the entry requirements to become a BREEAM In-Use auditor. Entry requirements will include facility management experience and building knowledge/experience.

There are 20 questions in the BREEAM In-Use question set that are specific to England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
