3. Let’s take a look in at Genesis 1:1
1. The Plural Word for God
In Hebrew, the generic word for “god” is El. The plural is Elohim.
The Bible uses Elohim when talking about YHWH, the God of Israel.
When the Bible uses Elohim (pl.,) it uses a singular verb
Interesting, plural subject but singular verb….hmm…
El= god
Elohim= gods
Let’s take a look in at Genesis 1:1

5. Plural Personal Pronouns朕
Sometimes in the Bible, God doesn’t say “me” or “mine”
He says, “Us” or “Our”
This may hint at plurality as well
Note: “The Royal We” or “Majestic Plural”
Sometimes Kings and Queens spoke like this to denote their status

6. Theophanies
A theophany is the appearance of God in tangible form, such as looking or appearing human.
