Allah Sent Prophets to All Nations
Allah says in the Qur’an: وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَّسُولٌ (یونس:47) And for every nation there is a Messenger. إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَإِن مِّنْ أُمَّةٍ إِلَّا خلَا فِيهَا نَذِيرٌ (فاطر:24) Verily We have sent you in truth, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner. And there never was a people, without a warner having lived among them (in the past). [35:24]

How many Prophets and Messengers did Allah Send?
A Hadith reported by Imam Ahmad ibn Hibban on the authority of Abu Tharr puts the total number of messengers at 315 and prophets at Only 25 prophets have been mentioned by name in the Qur’an. But there is no contradiction between the Qur’an and Hadith as will become clear from the following Ayah.

We Must Believe in All Prophets
(4:164) And We told you about some messengers, while We did not tell you about others. Muslims must believe in and respect all the prophets mentioned in the Qur’an. They should believe that Allah sent many prophets and messengers whose names are not known and respect them too.

The Messenger believed in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believes in Allah, His angels, His books, and His apostles. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His apostles." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the end of all journeys."
