Del c:\Windows\Fonts\EUDC.euf /F Delete GB18030_mod.zse Add printer to Bridge For 600 dpi printer send ^XA^JMB^JUS^XZ Format Flash Download MSGBMD35.ZSC to printer Download GB18030.ZSE to printer Send Sample.zpl to printer Zebra Confidential

3 Customer Scenario A customer has already designed their label formats and their printing system They discover that they need to print characters that are not in their font Solution: Private Character Fonts and Font Linking Zebra Confidential

5 Private Character Font Creation
Open ZebraNet Bridge Select Tools->Font Wizard Click Launch Character Editor Tab Click Launch Select Code E000 and click OK Click Edit->Copy Character Select Font Simsun Fill in Code 8FBF and click OK Click Edit->Save Character Click Edit->Select Code Select Code E001 and click OK Fill in Code 579A and click OK Click File->Font Links Select Link with All Fonts Click OK Click File->Exit Click on Import/Convert Font Tab in Bridge Specify the source as C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\EUDC.TTE Select the printer you will download to Click Generate ZPL and send to selected printers Zebra Confidential

6 Modifying DAT Tables Can use .TTE fonts with Unicode or Asian Encodings Asian encodings require update of DAT table Add mapping of code sequence to Unicode code point Change mapping to desired new glyph DAT table editor included in ZebraNet Bridge Open ZebraNet Bridge Click Tools->Font Wizard Click DAT Editor Click Open Existing… Navigate to GB18030.ZSE and click open In the Find Char section select User Encoded and fill in 8890 and click find Change the Unicode value to E001 In the Find Char section select User Encoded and fill in DE7B and click find Change the Unicode value to E000 Click on any other row so that the changes are committed Click Save Table Select downloadable encoding table, fill in the printer file name, and the computer file name Click Save Send to printer by dragging and dropping from Resource Management window onto printer in Group Management window

7 Font Linking Open ZebraNet Bridge Click Tools->Font Wizard
Select the Link Font tab Set the base font to E: MSUNG35.FNT Set the Linked Font to E:EUDC.TTE Select the printer you are configuring Click Generate ZPL and send to selected printer MSUNG35.FNT EUDC.TTE Zebra Confidential
