Our colors play a very important role within our brand identity and help strengthen brand recognition. White also plays a key role. A white background enhances the vibrancy of our colors. Color consistency It is vital that our brand colors look consistent regardless of medium. To help achieve this, color references are listed for printing offset spot colors (PANTONE®), process colors (CMYK) and for on-screen applications (RGB and Hex). When our brand colors are used on-screen they should visually match our printed colors. Use the RGB (red, green and blue) breakdown or Hex value indicated here for screen applications to minimize variation of colors, as screens will vary in hue and density across platforms. Important note: For materials that are professionally printed, always strive to match colors to the special (or spot) colors listed here, using PANTONE professional reference color chips and formula guides. Never use colors as they appear on screen/ monitor or color printouts as a guide to the true PMS colors.

18 Secondary color palette
Primary color palette proportion flag White is our most important primary color, and should encompass at least 50% of each project. Use this grid as a guide to how much of each color will deliver a balanced print, video or interactive communication. PMS 377 R: 115 G: 150 B: 0 PMS 2685 R: 59 G: 0 B: 131 PMS 327 R: 0 G: 135 B: 112 PMS 704 R: 162 G: 43 B: 56 PMS 2945 G: 84 B: 159 Use secondary colors in moderation The Optum secondary color palette should be used sparingly, in charts, graphs or as way to highlight attention-grabbing elements.
