2. Portrait- Annie Leibovitz
One of the most seen photographs are what are known as portrait, in short, pictures of peoples faces, you may know them as ‘selfies’.
Annie Leibovitz, born October 2nd 1949, is arguably one of, if not, the most, famous American portrait photographers, known for her work taking pictures of celebrities, having worked for Rolling Stones magazine, Vanity fair, also having her work being used for two record albums by Joan Armatrading and also being the only woman to have held an exhibition at London’s National Portrait Gallery.
She originally started doing photography when her father, a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force, was stationed in the Philippines during the Vietnam War, she then went on to study painting at The San Francisco Art Institute while also developing her photography skills while having multiple jobs, including a stint on a kibbutz in Amir, Israel, before coming back to America where she then worked as a staff photographer for Rolling Stone magazines for 10 years, helping define the magazines look, after she left in 1983 she started working for multiple other publishing companies and making a name for herself.

This image, I feel, is meant to represent a friendship and balance of ideas,
As Sir Ian Mckellen and Patrick Stewart are close friends off screen, but on
The silver screen they play two warring supermen in X-men, this also being a
Balanced photo, it shows the power balance they have and the mutual
Respect they have for each other on and off screen.

This photo of this woman portrays a lot of emotion as this is a close up shot, you can feel connected to the woman in the photo and see the light in her eye, as if she has found hope.

5. Fashion- RICHARD BERNARDIN
Fashion photography is just that, photographs of things for promotional reasons to promote all kinds of new fashions.
Richard Bernardin, born in Chicago, after he studied film and photography, he decided to focus on his drive to become a free lance fashion photographer, traveling around the globe for inspiration.
His photographs have been featured in various international versions of magazines, such as ELLE, Brazilian Vogue and French Revue de Mode.

And in a way, humanities laziness even in the face of danger, as represented by the woman just lying down and the red light indicating danger.

8. Sport photography is photography of any sporting event.
Bob Martin, three time winner of British Sports Photographer of the Year, studied advanced photography in university then moving onto small publication companies, working his way up, and now, during a career spanning the last 30 years, he has photographed nearly every sporting event in said time, with his photos being published in publications such as:  Sports Illustrated, Time, Newsweek, Life Magazine, Stern, ETC.

Indigenous animals of their home.

This is a photo of a goal keeper getting himself into the zone and mentally preparing himself to win and to help his team, that’s what I feel this photo is communicating.

11. Astrophotography- Justin NG
Astrophotography is the method of taking a picture of the night sky for a picture.
A new, but rising face in Photography, Justin Ng self taught himself everything about photography and became recognized in September 2010, he had taken his experiences from a diverse range of subjects and eventually stuck with Astrophotography, having his work published on news sites such as: BBC, CNN, National Geographic, Yahoo!, Space.com, EarthSky, ETC.

12. This photo, to me, shows the advancement of people, and the dimming of the natural world, as the sky seems to be devoid of all stars, where as it seems we’ve made our own stars in the form of the lamps on the ground.
In this video, I feel it represents that no matter how much we build, the cities we make will eventually become empty and soulless, but the night sky will always shine, I feel this with the contrast of the empty water below and the bright sky above.

In this photo I believe it shows technology slowly resembling that of the beyond, of the vast endless space, especially with the lights in the photo reaching out and touching the sky.
