For an individual who’s achievement over the course of his/her career have had a profound impact on the field of interventional cardiology medicine For an individual who’s contributions to the field have been unique and under recognized For an individual who has had a special contribution to the CRT meeting over the years

9 So Who Is Our Awardee… He is a graduate of the Boston University Medical School He completed his post-graduate training in internal medicine at Baltimore City Hospital Cardiology in the Johns Hopkins program He was involved in hemodynamics basic research at the University of Colorado Medical School He practiced noninvasive and invasive cardiology in Denver, Colorado and Northern Virginia

10 He participated in the first radiation meeting and then in ALL CRT meetings

11 Bram Zuckerman, MD

12 His love for flow dynamics goes beyond the coronaries!
Dr. Bram Zuckerman is a graduate of the Boston University Medical School. He completed post-graduate training in internal medicine at Baltimore City Hospital and cardiology at the Johns Hopkins program. Prior to joining FDA in 1992, he was involved in basic research in hemodynamics at the University of Colorado Medical School and practiced noninvasive and invasive cardiology in Denver, Colorado and Northern Virginia. He joined the FDA Division of Cardiovascular Devices (DCD) as a Medical Officer in 1992 and has been actively involved in development and review of clinical trials for many new cardiovascular devices. In May 2001 he was appointed a Deputy Director in DCD. He was appointed to his current position as Director of the FDA Division of Cardiovascular Devices in September 2002.

15 2002 through today He guided industry and academicians in the device approval process While keeping the academic integrity, he played a major role in the key device approval industry for the past two decades Critical cardiovascular devices approvals that Bram has overseen include: drug eluting stents, TAVR and other heart valves hemodynamic support devices CRT devices defibrillators etc…..
