The Declaration states that it is the right and duty of a people who to overthrow the government and change the system if the government takes away their rights.

Unalienable Rights Unalienable rights are rights that cannot be taken away. The unalienable rights in the Declaration of Independence are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
