2. CYBERSECURITY IntEur
Castilla y Leon (Spain) together with Brittany Region (France) are willing to develop an interregional project related to cybersecurity in the framework of the third Interreg Europe call for proposals.
Regional organisations with strong interest for cybersecurity , with capacity to influence policy instruments and interested to participate to an Interreg project on cyber are welcome.
The third call for Interreg Europe project proposals will run from 1 March until 30 June 2017.

3. CYBERSECURITY IntEur Why an Interreg project on cyber ?
Cybersecurity is a crucial challenge for Europe’s SMEs, public administrations and individuals but it is at the same time an opportunity for growth and jobs since new innovative solutions are needed to tackle new cybersecurity challenges. 
Cybersecurity is high on the EU agenda and European regions are more and more active in developing regional/national hub for cybersecurity. That is why fostering interregional cooperation on cybersecurity through an Interreg project seems to be of great relevance. 3

4. CYBERSECURITY IntEur About the project:
Cybersecurity may represent a strategic sector of development for all the partners of the project.
The project could aim at fostering development of cybersecurity strategies, value chains and clusters among European regions. It could be based on exchanges of good practices and peer-review.
A link with structural funds and RIS3 will also be needed. Both Brittany and Castilla y Leon Regions have for instance included cybersecurity within their smart specialisation strategies. They both also host a national cyber cluster. 4

5. CYBERSECURITY IntEur About the project:
The project’s priorities may include:
Improving the development of efficient cybersecurity strategies at regional level (including using RIS3 and structural funds)
Fostering the development of cybersecurity clusters
Supporting SME’s delivering new innovative cybersecurity solutions and helping SMEs to go international
Ensuring a continuum between education, research and industry and synergies of funds
Partners already involved from:
France, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Estonia, UK 5
