2 Objectives Definition :a putting together of two persons or things as for competition or comparison a pairing or combining; linkage Used to coordinate meetings for people who share common ideas about topics within close proximity of one another Promote change and improvements or a support group within communities Forms of communication consist of: , blog, meet face-to-face

3 General Information Using Match up websites is a new way to get people together Websites are used to set up meeting times not so much as a chat room like setting Match up groups and other organizations like it became popular later 90s until present

4 Examples of Match-up Organizations
On this specific website it helps connect thousands of concerned individuals who want to make a change The Dean Campaign Dean campain set a precedent. He raised over 20 million and had hundred of thousand memebers using the internet. Began the trend of grassroots organization and generative advancement.

5 The Effects Rise in humanitarian acts
Helps our candidates today gain the undecided vote Brings people together/ different way to network and meet people with the same ideals

6 Generative Society Increase in internet use and different ways to network The effects were seen and more people used the internet as an active tool to help their causes Allows freedom of speech and freedom in general Example: Website devoted to local people organizing and making a difference / Worlds largest network of local groups. Meetup makes it easy for anyone to organize a local group or find one of the thousands already meeting up face-to-face. More than 2,000 groups get together in local communities each day, each one with the goal of improving themselves or their communities.
