1 Bixby North Elementary
Building Goals Mid Year Review

2 1. We will achieve a 90% pass rate on the OCCT math and reading subtests.
Action Plan: Use of Academies matching reading and math objectives with students’ assessment scores. Use of “Read Naturally” as a supplemental tool for small groups. Use of C.O.L.T rep and Instructional Coach as a teacher resource during our Reading Intervention Review Committees.

3 Curent Results We currently have 92% of our third graders reading at or above the DIBELS composite benchmark. We have conducted reading and math Academies Monday thru Thursday since August as part of our master schedule. Every third grade teacher has used Read Naturally since school started. RIRC data meetings have been conducted on 10/13; 10/31; and scheduled on 3/9, 3/11, 3/12.

4 2. We will decrease the number of students reading below the DIBELS benchmark by 20% from fall to spring. Action Plan: Group Academy students by reading objectives as a response to DIBELS assessments. Support students through RTI, Special Ed., ELL, and RSA tutoring Bridge language acquisition and language application through the “Imagine Learning’ program.

5 Current Results As of the Winter DIBELS benchmark test, we have 89 students school-wide who scored below the benchmark. This is a decrease of 17% from the 107 that were below the benchmark in the fall. ELL students using Imagine Learning program: Average oral language proficiency - 77% Average literacy proficiency - 72% Average minutes per week - 52.

6 3. We will eliminate students scoring “unsatisfactory” on the OCCT reading subtest.
Action plan: Use of Academies as a targeted intervention plan. Provide layers of support through the use of small groups, technology integration, Academies, ELL, SPED, RSA tutoring.

7 Current Results Students who score “intensive” on the DIBELS reading test have a high probability of scoring “unsatisfactory” on the OCCT reading test. We currently have 8 students who scored “intensive” on the Winter DIBELS benchmark test. Average ELL Third Graders’ Imagine Learning scores: Oral Language-82%; Literacy- 82%
