9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Cor. 2:10)

Very often, God chooses people because they’re weak.
If that sounds backwards to you, it is.
27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. (1 Cor. 1:27)

28 He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, (1 Cor. 1:28)

Outwardly Paul was the same, but inwardly he was a different man.
By accepting weakness Paul would experience the power of God.

If you want it, it comes free by grace, but not without a cost.

Don’t hide away lamenting your physical condition.
